One Young World; Amplifying Women's Leadership In Health

Celebrating UDA's Global Impact: Amplifying Women’s Leadership in Health at One Young World

At the recent One Young World Summit, UDA proudly celebrated the remarkable representation of one of our own members, who attended as a delegate for Papua New Guinea. With a passionate focus on women’s leadership in health, she took to the global stage to advocate for improved health systems and the need for more female voices in leadership roles, particularly in Papua New Guinea’s healthcare sector.

Her insights illuminated the challenges faced by women in PNG’s health sector, emphasizing the importance of gender equity in driving meaningful healthcare reforms. She called for action on policies that ensure access to quality care, tackle maternal and child health issues, and empower women in remote communities who often serve as the frontline caregivers. Her speech resonated deeply with attendees, shining a light on PNG’s unique healthcare needs and sparking vital conversations around gender and health.

As she concluded, her words served as a powerful reminder of UDA’s commitment to nurturing future leaders who champion change. Her presence and voice at One Young World reaffirmed UDA’s dedication to fostering African and global leaders who advocate for a more inclusive, just, and healthier world.
