UDA Introduced on Global Fiscal Stage: Amath Ndiaye at the UN Conference for African Ministers of Finance

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – In a historic stride for the United Diplomats of Africa (UDA), Amath Ndiaye, the organisation’s Head of Partnerships and Senegalese Ambassador, represented UDA at the United Nations Conference for African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, held at the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) headquarters.

The annual high-level meeting, a cornerstone of Africa’s economic diplomacy calendar, convened finance ministers, central bank governors, development economists, global financial institutions, and UN bodies to discuss strategic fiscal policy, sustainable development, debt restructuring, and Africa’s positioning in the global economic system.

In a climate marked by post-pandemic recovery, tightening global markets, and urgent development needs, Amath Ndiaye’s presence marked a powerful moment of intergenerational inclusion. He introduced the United Diplomats of Africa not simply as an organisation—but as a visionary youth-led diplomatic force ready to engage with Africa’s most critical development questions.

“Africa’s economic future is not a negotiation that can exclude its youth. We must be seated at the table, contributing not only passion but policy. UDA is here to do both.”Amath Ndiaye, Addis Ababa 2025

His remarks sparked interest from several regional stakeholders and policymakers, many of whom expressed interest in understanding how UDA’s youth-led approach could complement long-standing institutional efforts in finance, governance, and public diplomacy.

This moment marked a strategic debut of UDA into continental macroeconomic policy spaces, expanding its diplomatic footprint beyond traditional forums and into finance and development diplomacy—a critical arena for Africa’s future.

The United Diplomats of Africa commends Mr. Ndiaye for his extraordinary representation, and remains committed to creating space for young African leaders to influence continental and global decisions with credibility, clarity, and courage.
